The rivers and lakes are picked out with a high power burn to heavily char the timber and are deeper, exposing the wooden fibres below the surface.

The level of detail on this extremely, intricately engraved map is incredible! Painstakingly pieced together from super close up sections of map and 'tiled' to create one map showing parks pathways, All roads, rivers and lakes.
All of the waterways are engraved using Far more power than the roads giving them a physically deeper and blacker scorched effect.
The details that make up the UNION JACK FLAG are a SECOND layer of laser cut and engraved parts that hugely increase not only the physical depth but contrast, by creating beautiful shadows.
 
Finished in a high gloss, clear lacquer, this incredible artwork is engraved to order onto far eastern hardwood plywood from our local supplier. They are members of the BM TRADA which ensures adherence and compliance to a strict set of independently audited guidelines on responsibly sourced material.
 
This is not a print but is laser engraved to physically remove and scorch the surface of the hardwood, creating highly contrasting marks.
